I know this will only mean something to owners in the surrounding area of Falkirk but just had my car in to Pro-grip in Larbert and can't fault the guy or his work top bloke. His prices are cheaper than some of the others in the area, here is a link http://www.pro-grip.org.uk/Home.html

The reason the car was in is it had just been fitted with Powerflex top mount bushes and that's why it was in for the alignment, anyone else fitted these as mine creak like fuck what a racket.

I've been meaning to get my 4wheel alignment done for a while now and heard the guys over at Pro Grip are really good and reasonable. How much did they charge you?

  • Was there for over an hour and then it turned out that my ball joints had seized he tried some electrical thing to free them up then tried heat but he was concerned he might bugger the threads was advised to replace them.
  • was charged £30 and was told he would take £15 off my next bill once i get the ball joints replaced.

Pretty standard with the poly top mounts, i copper greased mine to hell and they where silent for 3 months. An alternative is to get the stiffer OEM replacement from a Cupra R
