I've just tried applying for a Shell fuel card but I'm apparently too young to get one?! I'm 2 months off 24 and I'm starting up my own business so who the hell are they to dictate to me how old i need to be to have one? Lol would anybody know of a fuel supplier that doesn't have an age restriction on their services? Preferably Esso or Shell would be better (i prefer their fuel) I'd ask my boss but don't really want to tell him I'm leaving until I have everything in place.

Cheers in advance

I had a fuel card in my last job but its for morrison and tesco only.
And you could only use it 3times wif-in 24hours,
Fuel Cell i think the name of the company who supplied the fuel card.
The shell very strict on there cards i know that for sure.

Had a 12plate c-class cdi sport,
So was good for diesel,
Think the actual fuel was better at tesco then morrison.
I ran my boss bentley conti gt on the tesco specail fuel,l(can not mind the name of it)
Could feel the difference between the normal fuel and this.
Personally i shop around see what cards you can get for what garages.
And get one for shell if ye can.

Location i was in was london manchester glasgow warrington meaninly.
The bentley would take a full tank to get manchester/northwest area of england.
The merc was awesome unreal how comfy it was, and it was the blue efficency model.
1/4 of a tank to manchester from glasgow
1/2 of a tank to london from glasgow
I would have preferred to used shell cause it on the motor ways service that was the dwn side of fuel genie allow morrison or tesco garage only.
They dnt limit you on how much you spend on fuel tho.

Instead of a fuel card, why not just get a cashback credit card and just use it for fuel and make a little money at the same time.

I hate all this age BS. I was refused an insurance quote by OC site sponsors because they don't insure people under 30. Doesn't matter I'm classed as a proffesional and I've owned my own business since I was 19. Even charities refuse people under 25. Red Cross came round my house when I was 24 and asked if my parents were in. I told them I'm the homeowner and they asked if I'd give to charity monthly. I read the booklet and decided I would. After filling the form out it said you must be 25 and the girl apologised for waisting my time. I'm 26 next month but if Red Cross come round again i'll tell them they can go fk themselves the ageist bast*rds...

I used to hate it too and in fact I think it was even worse in the 80s when I had similar issues. I remember I had to go and get my Dad to go to the garage with me to buy my first MK1 GTI, because they wouldn't take me seriously

I would love to have that problem now though
