I think you can stretch 350miles from a tank, I managed 26-27mpg last sunday over 300miles of motorway, town, and blasting too.
I got 236 out of the first tank and will get probably just over 250 out of this one.

Should think 300+ is easily achieved though driving conservitively :)
Ok, who buys an R to drive conservatively???
I just got 350 on a full tank £70 also(mk5) averaged 28.7 driving between 80 to 95 m/way and some town journeys, not to bad I think :)
i'm about £70 and can achieve 260-290 depending where i'm driving...my mum lives 305 miles away, typical :)
Well i get around the 220 - 250 miles to a tank so i dont think its too bad. Always full up before i get down to the red as i dont think i could take spending £70 all in one go.
Driving sensibly (not often) I'll get 280-300

Driving normally (that's my idea of normal) I'll get 220-250

My worst... 180 in a whole tank
So far we tend to get around the 250 mark - sometimes a bit more or less.

My GF mom will be using it all week and we will be on for 300+ and then a few sessions with me or the GF driving and its time to fill up! Saying that my GF mom loving the noise it makes these days!
Mine cost £78 to fill up the other day. 78 bastarding British Pounds!

I don't care though, it jsut infuriates me that so much of it is tax! Out of my £78, how much will the Government get?

Ouch! How much did you pay per litre? I remember reading recently that something like 70-75% of the cost of petrol is tax - absolute disgrace!
I'v only done 86miles in my car and thats half a tank gone...:xD
G
i thort i had a heavy right foot gettin 280 ish seems im not lookin at all yrs lol

pomme, i expect you have a tanker following you with the set up you have fella. :D
yeah so did i and i really cant beleive that if you dont rag the car it is really still very good on fuel
bloody hell, thats alot of comparables, cheers guys,,

but i say "What the Hell"!! i just want to drive it, so I will!
I did trip a 7 hour trip last weekend through Germany mind the fact there were some high speed sections and my average was 21 Mpg. Beening super conservative and driving in the slow lane on the highway you can get it to do 35 Mpg. That is really the top range.
I seem to get 320-350 miles out of it and then the reserve light kicks in. The other day I looked at the trip meter and I had done 300 miles but had just under a quarter tank left, went to fill up with super unleaded and put in £60.

So £60 for 300 miles works out at 20p per mile.
Costs me about 6000 Yen to fill up. (30quid)

:smug:
Did a few miles last weekend A1 at 80 with Cruise on, the MFD said 28mpg.........

Few miles on side roads 23........
My first tank... i got 180 miles i think :( second tank about 200

think those are the only times ive filled it, now i just make £40 last a week haha
