Temp reading goes above half way? Connected comp NO faults with coolent sensor, coolent reading 100 to 113degrees. But wen I rev it goes bak to half way then sometimes it don't move over half, any ideas plz. THERMOSTAT OR WATERPUMP??????? Help!!!!

Have you checked your fans are working? Also is it when you drive it over heats or idle?

Fans ok sits half way the needle but wen u rev it goes to 115 degrees then wen u leave it or switch heating on it goes bak to half way an stays there till u rev again. Only goes over half to first line in gauge

Fitted temp sender nov gone, never had this issues in 5years.

Sounds to me as if the impeller is slipping on the shaft on the water pump.

Temp is sitting at 111 degrees

have you got the right quantity of coolant-water in your system? Have you had it on VCDS?

Circulation issue for sure. The stat opening ok?

How do u check the circulation is correct?

Pressure test of the system can show a weak water pump.

Hi all sorry for the long delay, finally got it sorted, changed water pump old 1 was nakard replaced run up but the thing still goes over half on the temp gauge so changed thermo and now sorted, MANNY THANKS PEEPS
