GTI International - Picture Thread
Great weekend, good to see the familiar faces and put names to new ones. Saturday was wet, as you can see from the pictures. Sunday was sunny and dry but windy, much busier than saturday, on Sunday I counted 19 R32's at our stand and 3-4 scattered in other areas of the site. Great little convoys and good meal out plus drinks with those staying at the Marriot. Good effort to all those who made it there and cheers to Macdaddy for running it all. Thought I would post my pictures and others could stick theirs on this thread too...

I'll have to post mine up this week, unfortunately there aren't that many as Oli's camera never recovered from it's impact at Lymm Services. For those who weren't there, he tried to take a group photo on Thelwall but realised he'd forgot to put batteries in his camera, so went to WHSmith at the services, paid £5 for some fresh ones and dropped his camera on the floor while fitting them, totally killed it, upsetting.com but worth a giggle for the sod's law valueroud:

Our mob did bail quite early on Saturday, I'd had enough of the rain by then so 'Go To Hotel, Get A Beer & Try Again Tomorrow' was definately on the cards. I can't say Leicester was an awesome night out, however I had been drinking since about 3pm so was probably in no fit state to judge by 2am anyway. The fire alarm did go off in our hotel at 3am though which was a hell of a wakeup call, ha ha!
Sunday was by far the best day though, watching the 500+horse R32 was brilliant and getting round the stands for inspiration really put me back in the mood to actually spend some money on mine, infact I did with the CustomCode Remap and the EPROM tweaks.
All in all, a really good show, bring on the next one!

Well i completely understand that with what i may hint at in this post may get peoples back up and probably make people dislike me but i'm going to say it anyway and think of me what you will :blushed:
made it over to J15a on the saturday in pretty miserable conditions and met with pomme and nick where we headed up to the show after meeting Macdaddy and the main convoy in the layby at J20. once into the show we all parked up and everyone scattered for some reason. i headed up with pomme to go and get some tickets and then to book myself into CC for a remap. Went back to the cars, still no one around so mainly chatted to the freindly UKMK4 lot. did a run after the map and then 3 further runs in the afternoon. as i was about to go and collect my times i watched as all the r32's started to move off to the hotel....thanks for letting me know guys???? wtf?
i spoke to james and very nicely he waited for me whilst i ran off to get mine and pommes times from the office and then i could follow him to the hotel as i had no idea where it was.
by the time we got to the hotel there was no one around so we went to the room. came down to eventually find the group in the bar around the corner in a huddled group with no chairs left for us to join, we did smile and say hello to 2 of you and eventually managed to grab that sofa closest to the group but obscured with the pillar. which is why we didnt see you all get up and leave....thanks for letting me know guys???? wtf?
had no idea where you'd gone so stayed in the hotel foyer and after about 3 hours you came back, and dispite us sitting on a sofa right by the door with spare sofas around it...you all walked past, no agknowledgement and went and sat over in the corner together. what was that about?
i thought oh well, maybe it was something i'd said although the few that did make the effort seemed to get on with me and my mate.
and then came sunday. got up early as i couldnt remember what time the convoy was leaving (should have remebered i guess) so checked the car park at intervals.
until this:

explain that then? you all left without us! AGAIN!
at least 3 of you had my number although i didnt have yours. no one notice the only one left in the car park? no one think to text me? no one not spotted i was there on the sunday?
so i went from surprised/disappointed on the saturday to totally f*cked off on the sunday. :angry:
i drove a 700 mile trip for this, to be part of a club. from now on i think i just stay a part of the forum instead but considerable scaled down. i saw no club mentality which was a damn shame.

I must admit I have read mixed reports on Inters and never actually been personally I couldn't be bothered with the trip as VC has said 700 miles round trip is certainly not worth it if there isn't a decent atmosphere
Hiya VC. As i said on sunday mate it sounds very strange and i also thought the group was a little too clique and felt some were not very interested in meeting new people. But then there were a few that i did have some great chats to and put a few names to faces which was really really nice
I just hope this doesnt effect anyone on this board as it is just a complete mistake im sure. And i do think we have some very good members on here and we could easily rival ukmkivs next year for there club stand title if we get organised and do more club things to meet each ohter and draw others to the club, for instance arrange some sort of event, perhaps get everyone to bring soemthing for a barbi etc etc.
