Hi All,

Has anyone fitted this Haldex Gen 2 to their MK 5 R32?

If so can you comment on how is handles compared to standard Haldex?

i have the haldex on my mk5 & i think it is one of the best upgrades i have done,so much more control you can feel more of what the cars doing when its sliding its at its best in the wet in & out of roundabouts.
How much are the Haldex gen 2s?

About £500 isn't it?
Completely transforms the car IMO.

I wouldnt own a R32 without one now. Best £500 you will ever spend
Thats good to hear then.

Does it make the car more grippy?

Also does it make in oversteer more? and is this a good thing? Don't want to be doing 360's round corners at high speed

I keep mine in sport mode as I havent found a decent in cabin switch that doesnt look tacky yet.

Its loads more balanced and its only now im getting more comfortable with it that I really need race. It still gets a little uindersteer on a wet road but its very controllable on the throttle, you can be a proper holligan jamming on and off throttle around roundabouts to affect balance and you get nice foor wheel drift.
Hello

I have a question. I am from Poland. I make an engine ubgrade in my MK2 golf for R32 from Audi A3 8P 2005r. Of course 4x4 HALDEX. I am very interested in buying HALDEX GEN 2, but my ABS and ESP system is not working. It is impossible to have an ESP and ABS system in MK2 when I have electric instalation from Audi.

So my question is: Do I need the workin ABS and ESP system after buying the HALDEX GEN2 or not. Will my haldex work without the ABS and ESP using HALDEX Gen2. I read the specufication of HALDEX gen2 and they said that it is not interfer in ABS and ESP system. Please let me know and give me the company that I can buy it. Maybe in Germany??

Sory for English :) I hope you will understand may problem and question
The haldex uses the signals from the ABS sensors to determine when to transfer power to the rear. If your saying you don't have ABS at all then I don't think it is going to be possible for you.

Would it not be easier to buy an R32 that try and fit all the 4WD gear to a MK2? More expensive I know but is the latter even possible?

Thanks for adwise :). I have informations that I need ABS to turn on my HALDEX to work properly as in simple A3 or MK5 R32.

ABS in this cars like AUDI A3 8P and Golf 5 R32 is working by magnetic bearings and axles. I need just to put the magnetic bearing in my MK2 and axles na it should be work. I have contacted with the producer of bearing SKF, and he gave me the dimensions of the bearing I need.

So I will give you an answer about the results :) of my job

If it goes about instaling the all suspension front and rear it is possible. But the car will not drive safety. I have a tuning company in Poland who did such ubgrade and It nothig. The car drives as it want not as driver.
