Hello there guys! Just joined this forum - had my Mk4 R32 (black, 2 door, totally standard) for a few months now and thought I'd see if there were any other R32s rolling around this part of the world! I've seen a blue R32 in Oakham a few times, and anyone around here might have seen my car in the company of my mate's white Evo VI driving around the place in the evenings. Couple of questions to start with then - any other R32s around the Cottesmore / Oakham area? And anyone got any tuning advice about how I can start making a great car even better?

From what I've seen of the forum so far I get the impression that respraying it blue should boost the performance...

Hope to hear from someone soon!

Firstly - welcome to the site !! :dancing2:

Secondly - well done for recognizing that it needs to be resprayed blue to gain extra go faster BHP :hahaha:

Seriously tho theres loads of ways to make the R32 gain more BHP, Have a nosey at the Revo thread or the performance and technical section.

Not sure whether you've used Awesome or IT tuning but both are fairly local to you and both give great customer service.

Theres a RR day at Awesome on Saturday 6th if you fancy coming over for a chat to like minded R owners. ( about 25 ish going ) and you dont have to RR the car either :bike:
Welcome to the mad house!

Welcome to the site - enjoy your car - so now to modding - how much have you got to spend cause its a slippery slope :151:
Cheers guys - as to how much I have to spend, well, that depends on whether you're asking my rational brain or the nagging voice in my head! I'm thinking start off easy, a quick bit of chipping and a Miltek exhaust maybe? Anyone had any particuarly good/bad experiences with certain products or companies? Seem to be a lot of options out there! The supercharger can wait until after Christmas...

And hello to Khutula - I'm a Cheshire lad in exile down south at the mo, missing Manchester fuel prices!

Hello mate I am the other way around I am a Southerner (from Oxford) living in Exile up North - where do you live now and whereabouts in Cheshire are you from?

You have a lot of options - there are a few cars being sold off at mo - owners are removing their mods - so you might get a bargain.

Hope you're enjoying life up North dude! I'm from south of Manchester myself, currently living in Cottesmore and still confused at the lack of gravy on my chips in the evenings! Worked near Oxford a while back, nice place as I recall - certainly had some great driving roads that I remember with fondness (and sweaty palms - I had a VX220 turbo back then you see):top:

Cheers for the heads up on people de-modding at the moment, will check out the sales section and see what I can see!

Yep loving life up North thanks :151:
Rutland Badger ....LOL Quality username!

Does this mean you are considering adding a couple of white badger stripes up the black bonnet?

(PS, we just let the DBP guys think they have the fastest colour!)

Welcome to the site.:top:

Cheers Tokyo Dub, hadn't thought of badger stripes down the bonnet, but now you've put the idea in my head...:D

You're right of course - any physicist will tell you that classy black paint has a significantly lower drag coefficient than DBP; got to be worth at least an extra 5mph at the top end down the A50
