Looking for a high quality 4x camera CCTV system for the house. Took some measurements and it will need to have 30M IR range.

Don't want wireless.
Don't need a seperate monitor to view it.
Nothing fancy, just records what it sees to a big hard drive.

Does any body use such a system and can spare a minute to share their thoughts?

check http://www.cctv42.co.uk/ genuinely know what they're doing. There's no point having cctv if the pictures is crap and grainy

My parents have CCTV linked to a TV and Hard Drive. If you want to use the footage to prosecute we were advised you need the date and time to the second displayed on the screen by the system. Not sure how accurate that advice is but it's certainly something to consider.

I have a swann 4 camera system on my house the pictures quite good and its not to bad at night , you can stream and control the cameras from my I phone and you can upgrade the cameras for better ones, it puts the time and date on the film and when we had some trouble and the police viewed it they where very impressed and dealt with them because I had clear evidence, I got it from maplin about £300
