to fit cams for instance, what else would you be inclined to do?

Port polish? blueprint the engine? etc

Depends how far u want to go with it ie cash flow.
I would be dropping the engine out of it and going the whole hog with turbo,s etc.
Sorry mechanic speaking here.
Just love taking things to bits!

nah i know what you mean, ive got my dad who is an ex wrc driver/mechanic to help me with it all, he has told me what he would do without going FI, i just wanted other peoples opinion and so did he as he has been out of the car seen for a while.

Walter Ainsworth. Was a long time ago, and he was mainly a mechanic.

think he co-drove for Henry Toivonen a few times, the guy who died at corsica in the delta s4.

he sure was, was a good friend of my dads. After he died my dad stopped co-driving and just mechaniced.

I remember seeing footage of Toivonen in a Sunbeam completely sideways the whole length of a bridge. Must look youtube for it now.
