Drove a focus ST a couple of years ago. Was disappointingly cheap inside, not as quick as it should have been, all round disappointing. Then again it was only £17k new. They look ok, not my cup of tea though and no where near as classy or exlusive as an R32.

Is this going to be the most powerful front wheel drive hot hatch on sale then? Seems ridiculous to put anything more than 250 bhp to the front tyres alone, traction control will be engaging all the time, especially if its wet. Remember the Alfa 147 with 250bhp to the front wheels! Cant imagine this is gonna be much better, especially around corners. Even in a straight line drag it may spin its power away.

Hated my drive of the ST as the cabin was SO cramped for someone reasonably tall and I kept tw***ing my knee on the centre console. Plus it was gash round the twisties esp when I put it sideways at 40 leaving roundabout. This can surely only be worse?

lol, I remember that! Great in a straight line, but just can't go round corners unless it's going 5mph.

Reckon it could do with a decent LSD... which the new RS is meant to have, and lets hope it does

Even with an LSD its still wrong wheel drive lol
