Thank you JayR32, we feel that your post should have been enough to end this thread.

From now on we will only be discussing new products in our own section, including the VVT Attack software.

Any customers who would like some more information on the VVT Attack software, please feel free to call 01246 455005.

The dyno plot direct from the JBS rolling road, along with our Independent rolling road for the VVT Attack software can be found here:

Showing more definition on the BHP and Torque curve, we held this back as the new JBS and Custom-Code website will be using the latest dyno graph version.

As I am sure you can understand, regardless what dyno is used, it would be impossible to cheat the power curves. Every dyno graph we have for the R32 (some 40 odd from various tuners) and all graphs found online show the characteristic standard R32 torque curve, just slightly higher.

As this thread is all about proof, please can you provide link to information from other tuners that shows a similar gain in torque or use of VVT tuning to give gains? Or that mimics the torque curve from the VVT Attack software.

its good to see tuners still realeasing new software for our Rs , iv read a lot of posts about this software now on many different VAG forums and JBS have been getting a lot of crap from people not believing the gains, well i for 1 will definately be attending the SSR day as i would like to see for my self the power so any of you doubters should also be there, anyway thanks JBS and keep up the good work...:D

With this remap, what will happen in an MOT with regards to emissions? Will it still pass?

Also is there any places in the south of england that offer JBS VVT attack remaps?
Hi

Mot time is not a issue , already tested and passed :)

the C-C VVT Attack software is currently only available at JBS.

Hope this helps.

Just found this too:

VWvortex Forums: VVT Attack

This discussion also seems interesting:

Highly advisable people take off the rose tinted glasses before reading. Just waiting for another pile of people to jump on me for trying to have an open discussion.

lol....What?

As stated before, its not new, as shown above by other posters. I just don't see much point in posting, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Plus I don't have interweb at home at the moment. :) Jay has made some fair points.

If you need proof, its driving to two rolling roads, one in the south and one in Manchester, both with a large R32oc attendance, non related to me or JBS, so it couldn't be much fairer.

Still fail to understand why people are taking this discussion so badly, it's a general discussion.

sorry for jumping in but can someone please explain VERY simply to me whats going on here as im so confused by this whole issue...

Should i assume here that JBS claim you can get 280-300bhp from their map and others disagree? At the same time, people who have had their car done are saying its true?

If i am correct, can someone explain (again simply please) why they think this isnt possible? Or why they think having this map is bad?

I was very interested in getting this map but i am just not sure what to think now.

Before you make decision, be aware this is the internet.

Its all opinions and the only one that matters is yours.

EDITED

I have taken the "comment" out....

Jezza, I'm not saying anything about figures, I'm just saying its non exclusive and has existed as a part of tuning for this platform for quite some time as you can see from posts on Vortex and what other people are starting to find scattered around.

People will get defensive here as shown by quite a few people who have paid for the product. End of the day make your own decision dude. :)

If you wish to take the dive with JBS by all means do so.

Also another thread here:

Well after reading these threads regarding VVT I'm now more confused than when I started :D

Theres only one way to solve this; a good start would be 2 or 3 VVT remapped cars attending the Surrey Rolling Road day!

Can I just say firstly that I completely agree with JayR32 first post on this thread. I think generally people should take note of this. Its just a shame people taking posts so personally.

Anyway, I have decided that in the next couple of months to have mine mapped using this. I will then have mine dyno idependantly to see the outcome.

Better to do it, then sit around chatting about it I say.

Pathetic for questioning JBS and a unfounded claim??

Says it all really. I'm not the one making claims of exclusivity or charging people for VVT tuning as an extra. JBS may wish to check out 'independent' in the dictionary while talking about using a C-C agent as an 'independent' road.:

in·de·pend·ent
   /ˌɪndɪˈpɛndənt/ Show Spelled[in-di-pen-duhnt] Show IPA
-adjective
1.
Not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself: an independent thinker.
2.
not subject to another's authority or jurisdiction; autonomous; free: an independent businessman.
3.
not influenced by the thought or action of others: independent research.
4.
not dependent; not depending or contingent upon something else for existence, operation, etc.
5.
not relying on another or others for aid or support.
6.
rejecting others' aid or support; refusing to be under obligation to others.
7.
possessing a competency: to be financially independent.
8.
sufficient to support a person without his having to work: an independent income.
9.
executed or originating outside a given unit, agency, business, etc.; external: an independent inquiry.
10.
working for oneself or for a small, privately owned business.

I cant post in the JBS section as they seem a little defensive about what I have to say and still seem to be ignoring my question. I've not said a word about Midlandsvw apart from it being pointed out as a CC agent by the user rscott4563.

All I've ever asked for is how did they come to the conclusion this is new?
