This morning, non-resonated... all I can say is I haven't stopped smiling since I picked it up at noon

Turned the car into a real head turner, everyone looking as if to say "wtf is that?!", spent all afternoon driving around and can't wait to go back out again!

So glad I went for the non-res now, would recommend it to anyone who wants to liberate the sound of the wonderful engine

I felt like that until I went for a long drive, droning did my head in
got a res pipe coming. Also people looking at you all the time gets tiresome, and sometimes its unwanted attention. But as long as your happy with it that's the main thing.

I'm thinking resonated most of the time and non-res for a few months in the summer is my future plan.

I had the res fitted and I think the same, but I'm not moaning as that annoys the neighbours enough already
I've worked out if I keep it at about 10mph held in first it's fairly quiet, so i'm going to have to do that while coming up and down my street lol.

My old clio 197 had a milltek fitted, they were pissed about that!

Nice mate!! Congrats on the new exhaust.

I was thinking of going milltek non-res decat but I just picked up my R a few days ago and the standard sounds quite beefy enough?!!

That's when I thought, do I really need to go down the non-res decat root? Maybe just res but some of you are saying its quieter than the standard??? In that case, is there any point?

If you have doubts watch this video, it made my mind up for me:

There's no words to describe it, it sounds absolutely awesome. I'll try and get a video up at some point, my only criticism is that it's quite boomy at low revs

Natural resonance mate
everything has its own frequency where it vibrates and goes nuts, every exhaust has one, silencers Etc aim to make it more tolerable.
Are there any silencers on the standard exhaust system. If so, anyone know that it sound any good?
