I'm getting silly quotes for 3k a year. My car has actually done 236 miles in 18 months do could probably go for less but is 3k the minimum? Clean liscense no convictions 10 years plus no claims

In my experience, there is a sweet spot with mileage. Go too low or high then they increase the premium. Playing around on comparison sites and varying the mileage to see what works best.

I know when I was sorting out insurance for my father a few years ago, it was cheaper to set the mileage to 6k rather than the 3k he actually did.

As above, try higher mileages. On a performance model like the R32, insurers may be comforted by greater use because you'll be more accustomed to the car when you do drive it.

If you'd like us to run through a quote with you looking at the various mileage options we'd happily do that. Alternatively, instead of limiting your mileage it may be more cost effective not to.

best,

Nick
