Hellooooo

Everyone probably knows me by now but I thought as I have been on the forum for 4 years now with no build thread I thought I should finally create one !!

I bought my Black MK5 3dr 55 plate in January 2010 from Volkswagen with 31,000 miles on the clock…

Unfortunately back then I wasn't aware of all the optional extras the car came with so I went for the bog standard boring version. No armrest, no cruise control, no RNS, no highline computer, no recaros... nothing

apart from full leather - the only thing I knew I wanted.

I retro fitted the cruise control as soon as I bought the car but other than that I actually kept the car standard for 18 months but then after reading more and more on the forum I decided to make some changes

Next step was buying a personalized plate and some R line center caps…

Went down to AmD Essex for a Resonated Milltek and Remap...

Had my wheels refurbished by JP Polishing in Canvey Island, as recommended by a few other members. I was lucky enough that another member of the forum had a spare set of omanyts that I could borrow while mine were in for repair…

Next I made a few minor adjustments…

Smoked Mirror Indicators

Bought a centre console which had the ashtray and centre cup holders and leather armrest…

Carbon wrapped it silver to match how they should have come - not the greatest I admit !!

Some R line stickers on my sideskirts…

R Retainer clips fitted, and gave the brakes a good clean

Full Interior LEDs fitted -

Number plate LEDs and Pressed Plate fitted -

Last things I done were the Forge Induction Kit, blue R36 coilover covers, and R32 badge in the engine bay. I had to remove the V6 plaque because someone leaked something onto my old one and it was destroyed, however I have the new one ready to fit

For now it has been sprayed with plasti-dip which will peel off.

I've also swapped over the resonated milltek with Oliver73 for his non-res which I now have instead and recently bought an RNS-510 from N13KKF

For a lot of the older pictures I was using the Sony NEX-3 then upgraded to a Canon 600d

Use black wheel weights on your alloys. It will look much better.

Sadly probably still not loud enough to stop the "MK4 is best car in the world" whining noises coming fron the passenger side
