The locking fixing that is secured to the car floor and is used to secure your mats down with has come off on my car.

It looks like they originally screw in to the floor but I can't get it back in.

Is it possible to repair/replace them because the mat keeps slipping forward and under the pedals which is doing my head in.

If the above doesn't make any sense I'll get a picture later.

Cheers

Cheers. Buying them is one thing but don't see why I can't re-use mine.

Just not sure what the knack is to getting them to go in. Seems like there is nout for it to screw in to?

A picture speaks a thousand words.

Even though that screw has snapped, I don't see how a new one would fix the problem as the hole is far too big now.

glue maybe the only way to get that to hold in the carpet now i would have thought buddy! evan a new clps would just fall out of that size hole!

Honestly i would just glue it in, if it stays put then happy days if not then nothing gained i guess ............

Be careful not to fall in tho! looks a long way down and i don't want you to hurt yourself Yohan

Some Tec7 stuff should do the job in this case I think.
If it was me I would get the turn fittings (the other type VW does on newer R32s) and change both the carpet fitting and mat fitting. I think they are changeable??
If so, that way you wont me pulling up the mat with the stud upon removal when its glued in.

EDIT:

Is yours already turn fitting? If so ignore my comment about those.

It's a turn fitting I believe. The retainer screws in (to the carpet?) then once the mat is over the top you turn it 90 degrees to lock it in.
