Hey guys
My passenger side OUTER, Front cv boot has got a little split and throwing grease all over shop. It needs a new

Any guides on how too. Is it an easy at home job??
How much is a new boot??

I always use a universal split boot, its cut down the middle and you just pop it over the shaft cut the required length and glue the two halves together !

Simples and cheap! no mess to tools required just a jack and some glue

I got mine replace for £40 buy a local garage. For the price it wasnt worth doing it myself

I'm guessing a new boot kit from VW is probably around £20 (at a guess, because my mk3 boot was like £16 from TPS, and that has a mk5 part number on it, so I'm guessing the boot is a commonish part across lots of VWs).

Anyways, I had APS do mine and it took them around 1hour, didn't look too complex.

I found a guide dudes. it appears fairly simples. only thing is i cant remember if my hub nut is a nut or a phat allen type thing... :/ ill have to yank centre cap out and look.

ill ring a mate in the morning for bits

Should be an Allen bolt in the end of the drive shaft, every other MK4 apart from the R32 had hub nuts.

17mm allen head head

the mk4 anni has the allen bolt as well

in fact it makes the job of getting the drive shaft out easier as the outer cv joint is shorter

i'll post some pictures up of how to do it
takes a hour if you are taking your time

Not sure
A lot of Audi's have them Have done for years
Plus most of the r32 parts come of the Audi TT
Drive shafts hubs wishbones brakes and so on
