Amate of mine had this error. Ode come up I found a lose clogged up pipe it's only about an inch long if you google where to look for the 2ndary pump you should see it, irrc its on top of the engine

I certainly agree with taking it off problem is the dash light comes on if you do. Only way to get around this seems to be a software change that cannot be done with vag com so mine unfortunatly remains on my car making the most stupid noise...
