MK5 18" OZ Ultraleggera's

Having decided last month to retain my existing mk5 alloys as winter wheels complete with my set of winter rubber (they've been 100% AMAZING in the snow)... I was left with the requirement to purchase a set of summer alloy wheels to suit my summer tyres..

I'd all but pressed the 'buy' button on a set of genuine BBS CH's when a contact of mines found, and offered me these...

18" x 7.5"
112 PCD, ET 50 Offset
Carbon Center Caps

They'd previously had tyres on them, but never ran in anger...
They'll take a bit more cleaning than the CH's as there are more edges for dust and brake debris to catch in... as such I phoned up and purchased some C5 Wheel Armour, apparently 1x application per year if the blurb is to be believed? (strong words I know)..

Will report back on how the celebrity death match between it and my Yellow stuff pads works out. Hate to say it buy my money is on the pads....

Although many would go for the 19" option, I prefer the comfort and driveability of the 18's in compression hence they were the size I went for.

The summer tyres will be fitted in the next 2-3 weeks and possibly installed Mid April (if the snow subsides!). Will post some pics on the car one fitted.

Finally my "wheel consultant"......
