Hi ya mate. They are a nightmare to get out but with some effort they will.

You need to push down and forward on the clips with a flat blade from behind and when you get the first bit out, you need to run the tip of your finger in behind the front to gently ease it out as you push down and forward with the flat blade on the other clips as you go along.

Its not easy and you will slice your fingers doing it, but it's worth it!

Thanks for the advice mate much appreciated, thought someone had managed to free them but just couldn't find the thread, I've got a spare grill broken down already & just the slats were holding things back............

Do they just clip back in once there out?

 

Yes they do, I carbon wrapped mine not long back!
