Whats the best induction kit for a MK5 r32? Iv already got a miltek, remap and cams but Im pretty sure it hasnt got a different filter, defo not an induction kit.
Does anywhere do filters/induction kits for MK5 and would I need to get mine re-remapped in order to see any (if any) gains?

Nearly everyone in the UK goes for a BMC Panel filter for their mkV's. A straight swap, and allows everything to be alot more free flowing. They're about £50.

If not, Japanese tuning specialists Gruppe M have just released their enclosed forced induction kit. These cost around £350 and have to be inported from Japan. I'm yet to hear any reports but these kits are known and proven to give 8bhp+ and increased torque figures.

You could also use a BMC CDA kit. These are brilliant pieces of kit, and are simular in ways to the Gruppe M kit. These are around £250.

Cheers Ed, think I might just go for a panel for the meantime and then have a look at them BMC CDA thingys in a couple of months. Will the panel filter be kosha with my remap or will I need it re-remapped or flashed or whateva its called?

My car is remapped and works fine with the filter. Obviously it can be tweaked to take into account a free'er flowing system but is definitely not necessary.

I think you're first point of call should be to find out what remap you have, and how it is set up along with the other mods. I think it's crazy so little info came with the car.

Hey mate, cheers,
I bought the car from VW with everything on it! They say its running close to 300bhp, as did the guys at vagtech when I took it to them.
Mines the only R32 Iv driven but Iv heard that with cams you can lose out on the low end grunt a bit (although that might be my remap). The best bit about them is that its nonstop power from about 3500 right upto 7300 7400rpm. And the 3.2 sounds brilliant at those revs! I havnt got DSG.
If I could find a good induction kit Id get it although there dosent seem to be any! Its either induction kit or S6 LED lights like 'sirhenry'.
