First of all, new Mk5 R32 owner and loving it.

Picked up the car two weekends ago and the shiny hard leather on the drivers seat was bugging me compared with the rest of the car, which was nice and matt. The car has done 75k miles for reference.
It seems to be a bit hit and miss with R32 leather seats, I looked at a couple of cars with slightly higher miles and the bolsters in particular had major wear and the seat bases looked tired. I'm a firm believer that a little regular maintenance and cleaning goes a long way.

A quick hoover of the creases to remove loose debris and then applied the foaming cleaner. Agitated with a detailing brush, left for a few minutes and then wiped clean with kitchen roll. I did this three times and was astonished at how much dirt was lifted by the foam.
Finished off with a leather protector and the feel and look is night and day. Pics attached don't do it justice really. Looking forward to having a go at the passenger and rear seats when the weather warms up.

Cheers. I used LTT Leathercare Auto Foam to clean and then finished with LTT Leathercare Auto Protect.

I've tried lots of different cleaners over the years on various cars and this is as good a product as you'll get IMO. Gliptone is also good, however LTT is next level.

Something like this will do: Auto Finesse Interior Detailing Brush | Halfords UK

I've had my brushes years and can't remember where I got them from. Amazon or similar may be cheaper than Halfords.
