Hi guys

Scratching my head as to how to remove 18mm bolt that secures the front LCA bush (on both left and right lcas). Need to get a socket on it as open/ ring/ ratchet spanner not got enough secure purchase. Problem is sump pan and gearbox prevent me getting socket on -

Tried removing dog bone front lower mount and moving engine forward but still not enough room -

think i can move front subframe to rear/ lower it but that involves messing around with even more stretch bolts.

Could also loosen top mounts to allow me to lift engine a bit more?

If I can do it from below great as it's on ramp at mo.

Any suggestions from those that may have done it before save me arsing around making more work for myself.

Cheers

Si

This little job is a bit of a pain. A good quality ring spanner is your friend but if you cannot get enough purchase the safe option is to remove the alloy cross member and then drop each console in turn so that the wishbone comes with it ( leave the other side in place or you will have some grief from the rack and support it anyway ) . The front wishbone bolt is threaded into the console and has the annoying habit of shearing so proceed with caution. And all those new stretch bolts? Yep. You will need them
