Hi there looking for some advanced knowledge
I had my 2008 R into VW for a full service in October last year. I noticed that since the service I have really struggled to get reasonable MPG figures. My trip 2 has dropped from a previous constant 24 to more like 20-21 without changing my driving style. On startup I can really smell the I burnt fuel where I couldn't previously and my tail pipes go black in no time!
This was a major service so plugs, oil and all filters. I would have thought that all should run slightly better after spending all that money on it.
Any thoughts would be gratefully received as I can't figure out that anything seems wrong with the car other than this..
