....quick question with no pics so bear with me while I try to explain.

I removed the two front lower grills off the car yesterday. The drivers side has a trim behind it attached to the grill with clips. Its like a box to conceal the washer bottle in the wing.

The passeneger side does not have 'the box' attached. Is this normal?? Or should I be heading to the dealer to but 'the box' part??

Thanks
Phil

From what I can remember it's only the driver's side that has the blanking plate clipped on the back of the grill.

strange thing is i worked on a 56 plate the other day both sides are blanked off, i have an 08 plate and my passenger side has some ducting towards the gear box both the cars mentioned are manual.

so if there is nothing behind it then i would suggest something is missing

Si and I discussed this and we think it might be something to do with the emissions reduction on the 2008+ cars which are slightly lower then the pre 2008 ones - as a guess?

Thanks for the replies. Its a bit of a mixed bag then??
Mines 06 manual. I'm off to the dealer to order R36 coilpack covers so might ask the question there too just out of interest.
Will report back if its definitive.........
