I've ordered new MTEC brake disks, and mintex pads all round, but MTEC have come back asking which type of rear pads as there are 2 types, not exactly sure which one as they both look a different shape but both are shown as being for Mk5 Golf R32.

Anyone any idea if these are the same pad? and if either one will fit?

Hi Bob, are you sure at all the 1020 pad is right?

I found this link and looks like the other pad type

Anyone any ideas on this? MTEC are waiting for me to advise the rear pad type so the can process the order.
I'm not sure mate and as you say, that link does show the other style.

To be safe I've just ordered both! Can just send back the ones I don't need.
Be interested in hearing which ones it is. I wonder if they changed during the production lifecycle or for different markets.

Hope all goes well with the new discs and pads and with the discs being grooved and drilled be prepared for them to be a lttle nosier than OEM.
