Any one know what the standard ride height is for a mk5 2008 front suspension? i assume the measurement is from hub centre to the bottom side of the wing. Reason i need to know is that i had a spring break yesterday so didnt want to drive too far with it as it sounded bad when turning etc so took it to local kwik fit who i go to so they could get it on ramp and check it out. Confirmed that spring was bust but it had wrecked the top mount also, quoted me for new springs and top mounts (both sides) went to get car today and it looks higher up than normal, so im thinking that either wrong springs or mounts could have been fitted or will it gradually settle to normal.so far as i know everything was standard setup before. I know they used euro car parts to supply the bits and was told they are not allowed to use the budget range of stuff they sell.

Thanks for that Smartercarper it appears then that all is ok as i got that measurement also, guess there must of been some wear and tear on the original springs and top mounts as it looked to be a bit lower before and used to scrap front splitter when backing out my driveway.
