Todays challenge..opening the passenger side lower grill. it came closed from the factory (not sure as to why)
but with patience, time and a Stanley knife this is what i achieved...

Doesnt matter. Your sanding into the edges the diamonds sit in if you like so they fall out
Oh right... Might give that a try. Mine are all solid apart from a few around the bottom corner of the N/S vent.. I'm guessing these have been taken out to allow air flow to the temp sensor.

Outside air temp is in there to im sure.

Remember you can buy passenger side from VW already open

Behind those cut outs is your exterior temp sensor

They are blocked for wind resistance if you open them air goes into them and causes drag,

You would never notice it especially if you drive like a granny

Hang on, you open something up, air flows through better, you put a brick wall up, that creates resistance.. So how does that work?

The bumpers are shaped for wind to go over and under not through, i

But I don't know anyone that drives hard enough for it to make a difference.

You would have to drive like the stig for it to make a difference

I am only quoting what I have read on here in the past
