car booked in for mot, on old scoob because of permanent 4wd it used to have brakes checked using old gyroscope method.can 32 go on rollers without damaging anything? or is it checked using gyro?

My local MOT station does a test drive, well he drives it very briefly in the yard.

They don't run the R32 on the rollers.

what's a gyro?

It's a gyro for definate, rollers will smash your rear diff, make sure you tell them it is 4wd as not many people know

They use a machine called a Decelerometer on a road test.

I've been told that the brake test can be carried out quite safely on my car (not by an MOT tester, it should be added). It's been in for 3 MOTs since I've had it, not been out of the bay all 3 times and it still works, so make of that what you will.

Surely the one click on the handbrake trick will do just fine and disable the Haldex...??

mot today.they used an electronic decelerometer in footwell.
all good 13months mot on her now
