Progress been very slow the last few weeks as its been raining so much.

Cars stripped out and now awaiting my welder friend to put in new seat rails and also weld in the cage. I even removed the factory sliding sunroof as it provides more room for the cage. Just need a tilt cheapo roof to fill the lovely big hole in the roof now lol

Once thats done it'll start being rebuilt back up inside.

Got AVO fully adjustables, ATS Cup alloys, carbon fibre door cards and some other bits on there way to me :D

Front grill stripped for cleaning and paint

Thats all for now, Will get start to finish pics on my track build blog soon.

Still looking for upgraded brakes and some other bits

nice one md, this will be an interesting thread. It will be cool to see it stripped and built in stages!!. Good work so far. Bet there will be some long nights ahead and your missus bringing out toast and tea at 10pm..:D

Good progress; makes me wonder how many kilos you could lose by stripping all the "comfort" out of an R.....

Sadly haven't the cash for a second trackday R!

Ok a couple of pics from today.

New bumpers front and rear, german plates and new indicator lenses on front.

Just removed all the red grill trim for fresh paint too. Its sat with primer on it a we speak so will be nice and red again very soon.

Looks awesome Steve. Can't wait to see the final product in the flesh, looks sweet. Love the mark 1. You leaving original dash in or is it all gonna go?
