First thing that was done was replacing all the brakes and disks all round, I went for Pagid All round, so a nice OEM setup again

It started well...

Then the pads...

The disks...

Still can't believe how big the front brakes are compared to the mk4

Next was to remove all the protective stickers it has all over the front end and doors, i know it's expensive and is there for a reason, but it's had it's time and is heavily scratched lol
and the nasty eyelids..

Annoyed it has a slight crack underneath

Next was the paintwork, this is as far as i have got now because of the weather

You can see the protective stickers..

And how scratched the bonnet sticker is...

Cleaned the tips... from this

Enough inspiration there!!

Wider front arches?
Yup.Really don't want to go down the route of widening / playing with the arches again, had enough of that on the Mk4... lol we shall see what it brings!
Well finished installing Accuair over the weekend.

My Bagged R32
(Did the whole install myself with a great help from friends! )

Which stage did you go for Acuair? and if you don't mind me asking mate, how much is the entire kit approx?
Accuair management i chose was switchspeed, It didn't cost me anything this time for management as i used the same management that was on the MK4, but in total originally including bags for the mk4 was around the 2k mark

The performance bags on the mk5 retail at £1,200, management you could pick up for £1,000 or less / more

thanks buddy! why did you go for the Accuair and not coilovers route? any particular reasons?
Loved having the air on the Mk4, and not having to worry about being beached on a speedbump, and air is much more practical for me, plus i wouldn't be able to get into my road / work with the lowness i wanted lol

Makes sense, your R is sitting really nice! my mate's cousin is one of the distributors for UK's accuair so definitely will consider it once I find my perfect R, if that ever happens

Then you have no reason to not bag it then

Riding a lot lower now, get a lot more looks riding slammed, and its comfy
Can't fault the Airlift Performance setup

My ride Height...
Excuse the crappy phone pic!

At a local meet, need the chassis notched to get the front at it's lowest, as it's not low enough aired out

Been looking at these air ride kits, but wondered how the car handles compared to normal coil springs and dampers? I've always thought air was more for show n no go, but I think modern technology has moved things along a bit.

I have read plenty about the ride being superior compared to OEM, but do the cars still go round corners in a hurry ok on air?

Your car does look well though
