Confirmed today the large fan has defnitely died so it needs replaced.

The RRP for a VW one is £270 which is daft but I see there are many aftermarket ones on eBay.

Has anybody bought a non genuine one and had success with it? Did it come with a plug to match the VW connectors?

Just buy used genuine fans and fit fix kit. Should solve issue.

i bought used fans from ebay, including air con condenser and radiator for £40, fixed the issue for me... for now

Bearing in mind the 4mo ones have the same rad pack you should escape r32 tax

Don't need it my fan works as it should slow in air con and fast when in traffic but its only the small one so I need a new big fan

Cheers. Already got the fan fix kit in place, it just looks like it was left too late which killed off the big fan.

Bought a brand new genuine one for £150 delivered. Shouldn't have any more problems from it
