Hi

Just a quick one, I fitted a standard car stereo to my mums mondeo but since bein fitted the car has a low charge on the battery so every time go to start it, the dials will go full circle and back as if the battery has been disconnected.

The wires haven't been disturbed so not sure whether to trickle charge the battery to top up or just a new battery and if the new battery doesn't work it can be replaced under warranty.

Any ideas or what's the chance of being battery when its at time of changing radio.

Cheers

You could try charging the battery or take the car for a long run to see if it fixes the problem.

Are you sure it is a problem and that the car is not supposed to do a needle sweep on switch on and you've just not noticed it before?

Could be the system does not fully power off, so it's saping the power.

Could be a similar issue to the RNS battery drain on mk5 r32 below 07 plate I think.

This is on a Mondy and cars only really do this with dials when battery has been disconnected.

Not sure what it is.
