Hi all

I thought it was about time I introduced myself. I've had my '03 Reflex Silver R for 3 weeks now and, asides a wee issue with a melting coilpack (all replaced now with the newer version and new spark plugs all round) am thoroughly impressed! :proud:

MPG is interesting :) managed 33mpg on the motorway but most of the time its somewhat lower! Must be my right foot. :blushed:

33 mpg is somethin of a record :) just push the right pedal harder !

I won't tell you the mpg after a little run today :blushed:

If the weather stays dry over the weekend I'll do a bit of a spruce up and take some pics, if not I'll post the ones from the advert prior to my purchase.

Quick question of fuel - whats everyone use, standard unleaded or VPower?

V-power or Tesco 99 are the best one's to use or if you feel flush Bp ultimate.
Would not use normal unleaded as you need 97ron at least.

:) I use Tesco 99 or sometimes VPower if im not near a Tesco

Will take a tank full or two for the car to get used to the increased ron then you should notice a small improvement in performance :wink:

I've used Tesco 99RON since owning my R and it seems to be the best for me!

Thanks everyone!

Here's one pic, however I've had her fully valeted, waxed and had the few scratches removed. Next is the full Zymol treatment if I get time.

Next big decision is to trust or not the valet parking at Gatwick in a few weeks.... think I will be getting a taxi!

Glad you got the issues sorted Jo.
Enjoy. I had a little play with a mk V today on the M1 and saw a 24mpg average but I don't really look at it tbh-my mate pointed it out. Why do people obsess about MPG anyway. If you are clever enough to own an .:R then you are sensible enough to just ignore it IMO!

ah. but aircon was on full blast too.. although.. scarily got up to quite a bit over 100mph on the a329M with no effort.
