Got the sister inlaw now on my case so I said I would ask. Ok so for about 2 years the passenger door has never locked when you press the central locking button on the key fob so it had to be locked with the key and the door could only be opened from the inside. So she ordered a part to fix this off ebay (no idea what) and then got her mate to fit it. So he's taken the door card off and fitted whatever and put it together again and nothing worked still. So he took apart the dash board and couldnt see anything wrong but apparently there was something unplugged in or near the fuse box which should not of been so he plugged in. Now the bloody thing wont lock with the key. Not to bothered with that but theres no lock on the boot so unless the central locking works you cant lock it. Bloke has held his hands up and says I dont know whats up with it and I dont know what I have done. Any idea what to do?

Take the glove box out it un clips at the top and hangs down and there is a fuse for the central locking that is sided, I am betting its the N/S fuse that has blown , and maybe the O/S one now as well
