struggling to unplug these help anyone before I break something

There is a clip that locks the connector to the lamp assembly. You need to prise the clip apart with a small flat blade at the same timing as pulling the connector off.

ive tried putting a pointed nose pliers into that small square bit you can see but it's not budging

Glad you've got it sorted. You need to work out which part deforms and apply a blade accordingly.

im the type of person that just goes in heavy handed without sussing it out first I will take note of that mate and apply it to any other mods I do myself thanks again

It's always much easier when you've done it before or have a part to look at and work it out.

First time I did one of these I was heavy handed and broke the clip off

Mad though put small blade in like you said and pop it came apart happy days another mod off my to do list
