I got some led bulbs for numberplate lights on my mk5 r32 but they wen out 3 week later worked in other places in car just not numberplate! What do you guys recomend? What have u got please ? OEM bulbs lets car down

Thts wat i had pal no cause normal bulbs work! I did read a wile ago tht led bulbs will work for a while then jus stop. You have to buy full unit or sumthing :s

This is what you need buddy, not cheap but ver effective and OEM. Found on the Golf R and Rocco. 2 x 1K8 943 021 C

If you type that into eBay.de you find a few for sale

Mines Ben on a mk4, I think it may have been where water has got in with a jet wash I us, these factory OE ones are great...

Thats what i thought lol its onoy mk5 that has this problem with the bulbs apparently pal

Do the Golf R OEM ones fit the MK5 R? I presume its the same connections and size etc?
Something away in the back of my mind says to me that to retrofit Golf R / Scirocco LED lamp assemblies you need to reverse the polarity at the connector. Sorry can't remember where I seen it though.
