Well as some of you are aware, our MK4 GTi was officially declared dead at the end of March.

So I am still driving my R, but we do have a new addition to our VW family. Check out the link below for pics......

Hiya
Nah, the MK1 is flash red. It's pretty much standard only wheels, steering wheel and exhaust have been changed from hat I can remember, engine wise its the original 1.8 GTi. It is a bit of a classic now.

As for the growing family, I think its going to stop now. We ony have room for three cars on our drive!! I have told him that's it. Now its time for my car to have some mods done, starting with a Miltek me thinks ;-)
Wow... wicked motor.... if I had some room and the finances I would love to buy a original MK1 GTi ....... there was one for sale a bit ago with just 500 miles on the clock.... as new..... asking price was around £14-15k

Riz :creep:
I have to say, the MK1 was a bit of a steal really. It wasnt too expensive really, considering it was in decent nick, and its a genuine Sportline version too. I mean the hubby has spent a bit on it, like full respray and the extras like wheels etc but even with those bits it hasnt been too expensive really.

Wow 500 miles on the clock, that is amazing. So is the price though, god 15K - gulp!!!

To be fair, we have managed to get the Corrado for a bit of a good price too. The guy selling needs the cash for his deposit on his flat!!

So all in all I think we are a happy household at the moment ;-)
