After speaking to Awesome GTi, it appears that you CAN buy the 'two piece press together' parts needed to convert a "twist" mat fitting into a "push stud" fitting. They say they are genuine VAG parts.

Could anybody with ETKA help me out?

I need the MAT fixings....NOT the FLOOR fixings.

My local TPS and stealers say they are not available, and can only supply me with the two piece FLOOR fittings that go under the carpet. They have proved themselves more than a few times to know completely nothing....

I need the MAT fixings themselves, to convert a "twist" mat, into a "push stud" mat.

Any help would be great!

That's correct my friend.

The "twist" fitting on the right prises apart.

I am looking to replace it and fill the hole that is left in the mat itself with the "push stud" fitting on the left.

My dealer and TPS say they cannot be bought. Awesome GTi say they can.

All I need is a part number!

Thank you very much.

I always seem to get the same imbecile at TPS on the phone, who clearly knows nothing except how to use ETKA very poorly.

I just enjoyed that phone call very much.

Expensive at £5.52 for the set that alters both mats (my mats were £15) but at least I got there in the end.

Thanks again Mr. RJH...have a sound weekend.

I managed to find this out WITHOUT ETKA... Still trying to find a decent copy though so i can work my magic more often..

Anyway, if for some reason these are not the right part fella, then give me another shout, as there are a few other P/N's regarding mat clips that it could be.. Always happy to help though..

Have a good weekend yourself!

I think these are what I need, although they are to be used on a MK1 Leon, and not a MK4 Golf.

I'll take the mats up there with me when they arrive next week. That'll be the THIRD time I have been to TPS for these, only to be given incomplete and incorrect parts.

The fuel up there and back three times would have covered the cost of a new set of mats. Useless.
