Any guesses which way this will go?

The STi is quicker but the R32 is a lot more refined and will probably win overall.

The STi isn't too everyone's taste but I like it - but I think I am in the minority.

Interestingly in lasts months Car Magazine they had the new impreza against a Honda Civic Type R. On the face of it a test drive over the Welsh mountains you would have thought the STi would be a clear winner however performance and handling in dry conditions was only just in the STi favour. The killer for the STi was character and driver involvement, the Civic was Car Mags choice. "The supercar slayer has been slain". The R32 will be a clear winner.

If someone could scan the article I'd appreciate it. Should be an interesting read.

I also have a 2003 WRX Scooby, and it's fast as f**k, but I hate the on/off power delivery, and it's really plasticky. That's why I went back to a VR6.

So they gave the nod to the Scooby. Shame. It's still as ugly as sin though. I certainly wouldn't swap.

Hi Jackie, having read that performance spec it appears that the subaru is limited to 130mph? ECU or Final drive I wonder?
