Hi what does this sensor actually do that's in the stock intake pipe if I was to remove it and just plug it in what would happen far as I can see its just for the breather system


Reason I'm asking as I'm removing the pipe to put a custom one there

In really cold climates, it's a heater that stops the water freezing onto the throttle blade. Breather fumes are mostly watery until the engine gets up to temp. It might even be a dummy connection. It is on UK VR6s. When starting the car from cold, pull the plug and see if there is a voltage across it. If there isn't, bin it. Or simply pull it, start the car and then check VCDS for any errors. No error, it's not important!
