Hi

My car has startled to have a little pop when revved to around 3k and a little breathe sound if low low rev. It's just started doing it more to now the servicing oil/filter is due nearer. Does anyone else have these too?

Mine pops and rasps all the time if you change gear rite you can get it to bang

Normal. The amount of popping will vary from car to car and cat condition, whether there are any cats at all, different exhausts etc etc.

I hate it personally but each to our own

Even on mk5 as normal.... Find it mainly mk4's.

I have noticed since I have done the chains, fitted the milltek and now the 200 cell cats mine pops a lot.
It's as you pull away part throttle and change gear.
What is the cause of this? Over fueling?
At the moment I kind of like it, but not sure if over time it's gonna annoy me.
would a remap stop or lessen the popping?

Yeah it's unburned fuel exploding in the exhaust. The standard exhaust and cats do a good job of muffling it, on the MK4 at least.
It's a big engine with lots of air and fuel blasting through it!
Yeah it can be mapped out by making it run leaner around the over-run load sites.

yes my mk4 r36 supercharged,
and make sometimes very high bang

When I tested an ST 2.5 I loved how you could make it bang, never had it on the R32, it burbles but I wouldn't say pops.

No mine's fairly consistent

There's a lot of potential sources for air leaks on the R32. Wasn't there an issue with injector o rings leaking on MK4 Rs?
