Good afternoon :)

Just wondering how many of you use your R32's as a daily drive?

When i eventually buy one, it shall be used daily as I can't afford to run two cars...not to mention not having the space in the driveway.

My journey to work and back is 20 miles a day.

Your thoughts would be appreciated! :)

Afternoon!

I also can only afford to run one car and use my MKIV R32 as a daily driver. My commute is 28 miles a day and I love driving the R32 to and from work! Yes, it's expensive on petrol, but it could be worse, I can get 28mpg on a sensible drive on a Monday morning!

I was discussing this same topic with one of my mates and he summed it up perfectly, he said the R32 is the 'ultimate daily'. Personally I wouldn't want anything worse on mpg and the R32 is such a satisfying drive every day I wouldn't want to take a second car to work! Buy one, enjoy it.

Does your wallet suffer cause of this?

Mine is a daily but my overall commute to school is 5.6 miles exactly! (Often wish it was much much longer ;) ) At least it keeps the mileage down...i feel less mileage bothered when doing my excessive weekend drives tho!

to be honest i dont drive it too hard and have more fun braking late into corners to get the fun. mpg is about 21mpg on average just batting around so not toooo scary on the wallet, but you do tend to forget about the fillups and just enjoy the car to concerntrate on it

on average with my daily use i can achieve around 280 miles to the tank and costs about £70 to fill her. so with some basic maths thats 280 divided by 70 which is 4....so about 25p a mile

Thanks for the replies guys/gals! Appreciated.

I do 100 miles a week to work and back. Probably another 100 on top of that for socialising, getting around etc. So it doesn't work out to bad. I'm probably getting 25-28mpg on the clio at the moment with town and B road driving most of the time.

I guess I will just have to wait and see when I eventually get the .:R

Mines a daily drive too. Used to do 60 mile round trip 5 days a week and was using a tank every 4/5 days depending on how heavy footed I was.... yes, that means about £55 every 4/5 days in fuel, but my god the car is worth it.

Now I only do about 5 miles a day and wish I could do more.. :D

Make up for it at the weekend tho!!!

I use mine as a daily driver, and I'd have to agree with the sentiments of everyone else. The R32 has a perfect mix of usability, refinement and power to be comfortable to live with every day. Granted, it's thirsty (I'm getting 240 to a full £75 tank) and the change from 1st to 2nd in stop start traffic can wear thin after a while, but as an all rounder it can't be faulted.

Love finding an opening at roundabouts, giving it some and flying off, while everyone else is still stuck in their rep-mobiles!

Bollocks to MPG mines a daily and I only get about 2 miles on the commute, barely long enough for the engine to warm up so no fun at all! Just means I need to blast it at night!!!

Had my new Blue R32 2 weeks, getting 20mpg on my 20 mile round comuter trip, was getting 30mpg in my A4 2.0 fsi turbo so it's pretty poor really - but I love it! is it worth it- absolutely
