Been addicted to reading the posts for the past few weeks as ive been looking for an r32.

Originally was going to trade the 118d for another bmw but the exhaust noise is just addictive.
I am dead set on DBP, leathers and DSG, around 40-50k on the clock and nothing more than £12k.

I know dsg and leathers is something i will not compromise on but do you think im being too picky with colour?

Eg this is perfect but god its just not the same!

Plenty DBP with DSG and leather around so I don't think you will have any problem finding one.

Id wait for the DBP, you want pretty much the car ive just got 2 weeks ago, 08 DBP 3door dsg leather and 33k the colour makes the car all I want to do is clean it

that would be right up my street - im not even bothered if 3dr or 5. How long have you been looking as ive been checking everyday for abt 2-3 weeks. Ideally from a garage as I want to part ex.

ah crap that is what I want! But with a 118d that needs a bit of work a trade sale is my best bet as I don't want to lump any money into it.

Btw is it me or does DBP have different looks on different cars? - or is that just dependent on sunlight etc.

my god! I want one NOW, i missed on two gem's last week because I was a day late, one had the leather recaros. Theres a couple near me (leeds) but either no leathers or no dsg - and as my old man has a a5 3.0 dsg, I will never buy manual again lol

I'm sure the one you posted in the link on your first post is Shadow Blue, so possibly you are mixing up DBP with Shadow Blue. The latter is a bit darker and less common.

yeah pal it is shadow, I was just debating whether to sacrifice on DBP. Theres one on AT and Piston 10,995 ive seen but under HPI found it had 5 owners, turned me off tbh

Personally I don't think you are being picky as DBP is the most common colour and nearly all have leather plus DSG was popular enough. These cars can change owners frequently as people underestimate running costs.

I always say buy on condition and history with less emphasis on mileage and owners.

very much this. Mine has had a fair few owners (last guy owned it for all of a few months!) but even with that it's in tip top condition and after 8 months I've only had to replace a broken spring which can happen on any car and a faulty tip tronic paddle. Both of them bits were covered under warranty anyway so no problem, though I did pay to have the opposite spring replaced at the same time to even things out.

I love the DSG, it would take one hell of a car to make me buy manual (no Semi-Auto option). I'm currently considering a TVR Tuscan
