Evening all, hope all is well.

I was thinking the other night when out with the lads, I need a new bottle opener. Would we be able to make an R32OC engraved metal bottle opener?
We could have the actual letters cut out and the C could be the opener

Or if that's to difficult then just a lump of metal with the letters engraved on?

What do people think? Paulie?

Cheers
Alex

The bottle opener stays with the original owner, I guess. I am the 2nd owner of mine and I didn't get the opener / umbrella etc.

I would be interested in the idea.
Bottle opener only came with MK5s with the covered cupholder thus cars with the optional centre armrest.

Umbrellas only came with MK4s.

In relation to R ownership i would say an umbrella would be more pratical than advertising you CAN open a beer with a free bottle opener

Therefore the conclusion of this is MK4 is superior

Nah, it was just that the engineers knew it would piss in water and thought the umbrella would be useful:)

Wow that sucks, can't imagine why anyone would keep the bottle opener. Ok maybe if it was handed to you with the keys, but in the MK5 it has its own special space cut out. I'm not the original owner and mines still there. It's actually never been used as I wouldn't want to mark it, I've got a bottle opener from a Christmas cracker I use for opening bottles lol

Afraid that's wrong bob, they put free bottle openers in the mk5's because they new the owner would have to crack a few beers open after paying all that road tax money.

Sorry, doesn't work as when the MK5 was released the VED was around £200, around the same as a the Mk4. It wasn't until the 2006 budget that Gordon Brown introduced the higher band for cars registered after 23/3/2006
