After much thought and deliberation about the lack of proper show reports on the OC after each event i thought we'd start a show report section.

The method in the madness is to allow those that cant attend and also those publishing events in magazines to see what talent we have here!!!! It'll feature spec/mods of your car, username, etc, perhaps handing out flyers to fill in yourselves about the car and leave on the windscreen so whoever does the report can gather and have the info to hand.

I'm also thinking that the "Best Mk4 and Mk5" or just "Best R32" at each big event we attend would be a good idea, not sure on what the award will entail but it wont be massive..... yet! I'm sure the sponsors will help us along the way. We'll get onboard guest judges from an array of sponsors to give out the awards to try and keep it fresh so there's not always the same people winning, ie Puredetail could award for the cleanest mk4/5, Awesome-gti for best single mod etc ..... you get the idea! One award per show but we'll keep the category cycling to keep it fresh.

I'm more than happy to do a report for each show i go to which involves the OC but i'll need ideally someone from any i miss to take over and do their own report.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Very good idea mate and good to see someone taking charge. I doubt I can make many show's this year but would be happy to help out in any way I can.

Its born from the problem i had when VW Driver got in contact wanting info about R-fest this year, They wanted details about who won what and sadly i had to send half a dozen pm's, start a thread and still got very limited info. Obviously i cant be at every show but it gives us all a chance to have the info to hand and readily available for any future publisher or indeed any enthusiast wanting to read about a show they couldnt get to.
