Hi - I have a bit of a challenge and as I'm a relatively new R32 owner please forgive any newbie fopars

I have the standard RCD500 in my '09 plate R32 and have acquired from ebay a Dension Gateway 5 which appears to do everything that I'd want - hands free control of iPhone, and playback of music etc.
However the version that I have is the "BAP" version which may be for the RCD510/Mk6 rather than the recommended "CAN" version.
So is it worth me getting the BAP version fitted and will it work at all - or am I just wasting my time?
