After hearing a lot of bad things about AMD essex where i was gonna get my 4motion mapped now thinking either Revo or R-Tech.
Has anyone got any experience with any of them or any other suggestions?
AMD are on my doorstep but have been put off by various people who don't even know each other having similar issues.
So give me some input, i know they don't make big power gains but it makes them nicer to drive

I hear a lot that the rollers at AMD are generous, but i also hear about custom maps being done in a 500 yard drive up the road and no rolling road run as they run out of time but still take the same amount of your hard earned cash.

I'm booked into jabba Motorsport for my remap in a few weeks so ill let you know but I've heard nothing but good things from them

I would of tool it to R-Tech but they wanted it for a week and I can't really afford to keep going up and down the country I just want to go down and have it done in a day

Had my MK4 done at Stealth Racing and I couldn't be happier with it.

Although mine had the 6463 update, there were still plenty of flat spots. But the drive home from Stealth (180 miles) it was a completely different car. Pulls harder everywhere (especially in 6th), no flat spots and I've even seen better economy.

AmD haven't been the same since they were in Bicester all those years ago. They're a completely different company now.

Revo for me. Used it on a 1.8T previously and it was great to.

I'm lucky to have superb VW specialist around the corner from me who are Revo dealers.

But saying that I had vince at Stealth map a Mk2 Golf on Jenvey ITBs and he did a great job.

Hi

We have mapped lots of MK4/5 R32 and V6- 4MO owners from on this site and from elsewhere, with good results.

We map 60-90 cars a month and all run on the rolling road unless they are too low or have issues that would not be sensible to run on the rollers.

Our process of mapping V6 4MO is described best on this link: http://www.amdtuning...eferenceID=8170

I am very happy that we offer a good, honest, reliable service and 75 % of our customers are repeat business or recommendation.

We are currently offering a 50% discount on an AmD remap when purchased with a Milltek exhaust but if FLORIDA747 wanted to find out for himself about AmD I would be happy to give him that discount on the AmD remap alone?

I can find an internet story that says Michael Jacksons still alive so don't believe everything you read on the internet!

Hi Shaun,

In reference to the 4Motion, what kind of power gains what we be looking at? Also, does it improve the driveabilty and mpg? If you can possibly post up some prices that would be great!

Hi

The gains are more driveability and throttle response. BHP gains are 10-14bhp dependant on fuel quality used and the modifications on the car.

The cost is £299.95inc vat and rolling road runs.

Cheers Shaun.

Florida747

I havent used amd my self but i've read and heard alot of spot on results and recommendations, i'm sure when the funds allow me i'll be enquiring with them.

Also for them to offer you the 50% without the milltek seems sound aswell. Let us know what you end up doing mate and the results you get.

There's always bad reviews of all companies out there if you look. You need to try places out yourself to find out
I wasn't on about stuff id read on the internet but people's views at a couple of meetings! And as above i will be giving AMD a try! and Elvis is alive working in a chip shop
