Want to remove the front black plastic reg plate holder, I can see plastic tabs which I assume cover screws ?

Is this the case can i remove these tabs to reveal screws which will allow me to remove the holder or do I have to access the back of the bumper?

Any help fellas

Cheers.

Surprisingly not, those are push in tabs which need to be popped out. The registration holder is held by 4 of them which go into the silver part of the grill.

You will need to remove the grill in order to take it out, Its fairly simple to remove below is a diagram

Once removed you will be able to see the back of the 4 pop out style tabs, I laid the grill on a old thick blanket and used a phillips head to just push them through, Once they pushed out far enough it was just a case of squeezing the 4 arms and pushing the tabs out.

Slut of a job and pointless as the grill has holes in it.

AND - if you're thinking you're going to sand it down, fill it and paint it, is not that easy either as the grill is dipped in some kind of copper/aluminium oxide and its bonded to the plastic.

The only way of removing it is by pealing it off. It takes forever, tears your hands to shreds and to sand it and key for a decent prime also takes forever!

Been there done it ;-)

Cheers fellas !

Thanks for the diagram

I was thinking of just removing the black part and to Velcro stick a metal over the bumper covering the holes to give it a slightly cleaner look.
