Help!
I'm trying not to go crazy at the moment.... I have no reversing lights. I have checked the bulb and replaced..even checked both sides to be sure ;-) All wires/connectors seem to be ok (within proximty of the light cluster). The fuse index in the service manual shows a reversing light symbol, however is not shown in the actual fuse box/fuse box card? Is there another location for a fuse? is it fused? am i con...fused?!?!!? aaaarrrggghhh!

any help would be appreciated please!

Hi,cannot help you with the fuse number but I can tell you what caused my reversing lights not to work. They didnt work when I bought the car,turned out to be the switch on the gearbox.
Please note that the pattern one I bought did not work either,the plunger on it was not long enough. Bought a genuine VW one and all ok ever since.

Hi there is a reverse light switch on the gearbox if you pull off the mulitplug and bridge the two terminals with a split pin and the reverse lights come on you know its a switch fault.
