Hi, Just got my R32 2008 5 door car Saturday fantastic well chuffed, I have the RNS510 updated the sat nav maps and appears to have worked, took along time to copy the database over.

I have the "phone" button on the unit, but I also have a parrot kit that was already in the car, the phone button just mutes the system. When im driving and if I have the system at a loud volume the unit seems to pause or volumes goes down like sat nav or incoming call but then comes back up again?

Also I thought it had the premium sound kit, 3 speakers in each front door and 2 in each of the rear doors but no amp under the seat so maybe im wrong?

Finally, SD cards. 1GB one works, but nothing bigger, is this firmware thing?

Anyone put me right? Im tempted to update the firmware but not sure what version I have as when I press settings for 30s I just get the Radio options menu, FM, AM, DAB but I don't have DAB.

Do you know what revision of radio you have? Rev B on can have 4XXX or 5XXX firmware fitted. If you haven't got a ross-tech.com cable yet, Try to get someone to help check the coding. It may have some silly programming and the VCDS program can activate some useful features.

Ok after a whole lunch in the car i got the model number, im very hot was like a sauna in there pulling the dash apart.....twice lol

I found 3810a and its updated now I have my versions numbers, just need to install teh maps when I get home to V9 and its all done.
